The Fabric Foundation: Material Selection for Truka's Unique Bra
For Truka's Order #229, we embarked on developing a distinctive long-sleeved wrap-style bra top. The foundation of any successful garment lies in its materials, and for this particular piece, the choice was crucial. The primary fabric selected was a premium blend of 95% viscose and 5% elastane. This combination offers unparalleled comfort and a soft hand-feel, essential for intimate apparel, while the elastane ensures excellent stretch and recovery, allowing for a perfect fit and freedom of movement. This specific blend was meticulously chosen after rigorous testing to ensure it met Truka's desired drape and durability.
The visual appeal of the bra was elevated by a striking contrast binding in vibrant green. This binding elegantly outlines the V-neckline, the secure wrap closure, and the hem, providing a sophisticated finish. Our sourcing team worked diligently to find a binding material that not only matched the exact shade of green requested but also offered a smooth texture that wouldn't irritate the skin. The long sleeves, in classic black, were designed with a simple, clean hem, maintaining the garment's sleek silhouette. A subtle, yet impactful, green detail, labeled 'B1', was carefully placed near the right shoulder, adding a bespoke touch.
A key element for this design was the innovative 'LOGO 1', a 2.5 cm reflective silver print positioned on the left chest area. Achieving the perfect reflective quality and ensuring its longevity through wear and washing required extensive collaboration with our printing specialists.
