The deep purple 3L ePTFE Membrane Laminate fabric was chosen for its exceptional water-resistance, a crucial element for any performance jacket. The innovation wasn't just in selecting premium materials, but in how we integrated them seamlessly. The integrated hood, featuring a laminated visor and front adjustment toggles, required precise pattern making to ensure a perfect fit and optimal protection from the elements. Furthermore, the decision to have a consistent deep purple throughout, with no contrasting trims, demanded a refined approach to construction, ensuring every seam and edge was flawlessly executed.
Our systematic workflow for this jacket sample involved several key stages. We began by translating Matthew's initial designs into precise technical specifications. Our skilled pattern makers then crafted the initial prototype, paying close attention to the exact placement and size of the white printed logos – a 6 cm wide graphic centered 22 cm down from the highest point of the shoulder on the left chest, and another on the back of the hood. The full seam sealing tape application was critical for maximizing the garment's water-resistance, a technical feat that requires experienced hands. The elasticated cuffs and straight hem were also tailored to Matthew's precise specifications.
